MILAREPA (Ref:MILA-04)  Click Here    £ 350.00

Click Here Milarepa is probably the most popular of all Tibetan saints. He is known to have lived from 1040 to 1123. He was an adept at black magic but later rejected this and became a disciple of Marpa the Translator. He eventually emerged as one of the most famous teachers of the Kagyu tradition. A poet and ascetic, he used to wear only cotton cloth during the bitterly cold Tibetan winters.

Without attachment, he knows
that the human body is but a magic spell.
So from all bindings he gains freedom.
Like the immaculate lotus growing out of mud,
he attains the conviction of Practice.

The mind is omnipresent like space;
it illumines all manifestations as the Dharmakaya;
it knows all and lightens all.
I see it clearly like a crystal
in my palm!

In the beginning, nothing comes;
in the middle, nothing stays;
at the end, nothing goes.
Of the mind there is no arising and extinction!
Thus, one remains in the Equality of past, present, and future...

MACHIK LABDRON  Click Here    £ 350.00

Click Here Machik Labdron, was probably the greatest female saint and yogini of 11-12th century in Tibet. Machik developed a system, the Mahamudra Chöd, that takes the Buddha's teachings as a basis and applies them to the immediate experiences of negative mind states and malignant forces. Machik's unique feminine approach was to invoke and nurture the very "demons" that we fear and hate, transforming those reactive emotions into love. It is the tantric version of developing compassion and fearlessness, a radical method of cutting through ego-fixation.

AMITAYUS (Ref:AMI-AP-04)  Click Here    £ 695.00

Click Here Amitayus Buddha or "Buddha of Boundless Life" is considered the Sambhogakaya aspect of the widely known Amitabha Buddha or "Buddha of Boundless Light." In fact, in many Buddhist traditions of the Far East, Amitabha and Amitayus are indistinguishable. However, in the Tibetan Vajrayana tradition, these two Buddhas are clearly distinguished; with Amitabha more closely related to the attainment of his Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss (Dewachen) and Amitayus as the main practice for prolonging or extending one's lifespan. Hence, among the many Tibetan lineages, the practice of Amitayus Buddha is held in high esteem. Longevity is seen as a contributing condition that will allow us more time and opportunity to practice the Dharma. Hence, longevity is sought through this practice not merely for the sake of longevity but rather for the ultimate purpose of completing one's training on the path of Dharma.

This is a wonderful large Thangka.

The Tibetan people will be scattered like ants across the world
