Click Here Hossein Farjami is one of the most popular and respected Iranian musicians. Besides being a virtuoso player of the santoor, one of the oldest oriental instruments, he composes music, teaches and builds his own instruments. This album presents eight of his compositions; each piece is a song but with the santoor rendering the vocal part. Other traditional Iranian instruments involved in the music are the tar, setar (string instruments), nay (reed flute), tonbak and daf (drums). The accompanying booklet gives full details of these instruments.
