MANJUSHRI (Ref:NOV-08)  Click Here    £ 195.00   Manjushri is the embodiment of wisdom. He is the patron of astrology and all esoteric sciences and can be considered an Eastern version of Mercury. In this statue he is shown holding a sword which cuts through delusion and ignorance. His left hand holds the stem of a lotus which blossoms bearing the holy text Prajnaparamita, meaning 'Perfection of Wisdom' symbolising that Manjushri holds the wisdom of the universe. The flaming sword in his right hand shows that he uses this wisdom to cut through the delusions and karmic bondages of the mind. His left hand is in the position of delivering teaching. Manjushri is invoked to confer blessings such a sharp intellect and memory as well as profound wisdom. His most popular mantra is OM AH RA PA TZA NA DHI. DORJE PALMO (ref..R343)     £ 190.00   SOLD! Dorje Pagmo is considered as a form of Vajrayogini. She has a small pig's head above her right ear. She holds a dorje-topped curved knife in her right hand and a skull cap from which to drink blood in her left. On her left shoulder rests a Tantric staff which symbolises the essence of bliss. She is shown dancing on a corpse. Height of statue (excluding staff): approx 7 inches (18 cms).

AMITAYUS RUPA (Ref:01-07)  Click Here    £ 200.00   A wonderful statue of Buddha Amitayus. Amitayus Buddha or "Buddha of Boundless Life" is considered the Sambhogakaya aspect of the widely known Amitabha Buddha or "Buddha of Boundless Light." In fact, in many Buddhist traditions of the Far East, Amitabha and Amitayus are indistinguishable. However, in the Tibetan Vajrayana tradition, these two Buddhas are clearly distinguished; with Amitabha more closely related to the attainment of his Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss (Dewachen) and Amitayus as the main practice for prolonging or extending one's lifespan. Hence, among the many Tibetan lineages, the practice of Amitayus Buddha is held in high esteem. Longevity is seen as a contributing condition that will allow us more time and opportunity to practice the Dharma. Hence, longevity is sought through this practice not merely for the sake of longevity but rather for the ultimate purpose of completing one's training on the path of Dharma.
