Unless otherwise stated, statues are finished to a dark bronze colour and partially gold plated. The faces are hand painted using paints enriched with gold. For more information, see our page on Rupas in the section on Product Information.

In this statue he is shown holding a sword which cuts through delusion and ignorance. His left hand holds the stem of a lotus which blossoms bearing the holy text Prajnaparamita, meaning 'Perfection of Wisdom' symbolising that Manjushri holds the wisdom of the universe. The flaming sword in his right hand shows that he uses this wisdom to cut through the delusions and karmic bondages of the mind. His left hand is in the position of delivering teaching. Manjushri is invoked to confer blessings such a sharp intellect and memory as well as profound wisdom.

His most popular mantra is OM AH RA PA TZA NA DHI.

Click Here According to legend, Buddha Shakyamuni transformed himself into a deep blue Buddha who radiated healing rays of light and taught a vast gathering of people and gods the science of medicine. The Medicine Buddha has long been revered as the patron of medicine and healing and as the archetype deity of all physicians. He is shown here with his left hand in the meditation mudra, resting in his lap and holding a begging bowl filled with medicinal nectar and fruit. His right hand is in the position to give blesssings and holds a stem of the medicinal herb, myrobalan. .

Click Here Dorje Sempa (Vajrasattva) is the Bodhisattva of purification and represents the purity of awareness or ultimate reality. He is a particularly important bodhisattva within the Kagyu lineage within Tibetan Buddhism. Within the Four Foundation Practice, 111,111 repetitions of his 100 syllable mantra are recited to accumulate merit.

Dorje Sempa is accurately shown with the right hand holding a dorje to the heart, whilst the left hand holds the bell on his left hip.

Click Here In mythology, both White Tara and Green Tara were born of Chenrezig's tears of compassion. Tara is thought to have insisted that she remains in female form whilst functioning as a bodhisatva, assisting all sentient beings in overcoming difficulties on their road to enlightenment. The White Tara practice is understood to increase longevity.

This statue shows White Tara's seven eyes (extra eyes on the palms, soles and the eye of wisdom on her forehead). Her right hand is in the boon-giving position whilst her left is in the teaching position. Both hand hold the stems of the lotus flower. The statue has inlayed jewels of turquoise and coral.
