The bell and dorje symbolise the union of wisdom and compassion (see article in 'our products' section for more information). These bell and dorje sets are made in Darjeeling, India, from a traditional alloy which includes silver and gold. Both the dorje and the dorje-handle of the bell are gold plated. Darjeeling bells are renowned for the clarity of their sound and the fine detail of the ornamentation. They are very difficult to find. These bell and dorje sets come with a brocade covering (as shown in picture of Standard Bell and Dorje below).

'Chod' literally means 'cutting' or 'destroying'; and Chod practice is a method of Puja and meditation for offering one's own body to cut away the four demons within. Machik Labdron received the chod teachings from the Indian Teacher Padampa Sangye and from Kyoton Sonam Lama and propagated them in Tibet. Here we offer two quality options: X006: £130. The handle is long and highly decorated and the drum-skin shows a triple-coloured 'wheel of joy' which represents Mt Meru. The drum is approximately 36 ins (91 cms) long.
